Gustave Lussi was born in Switzerland, he emigrated to the United States at the age of 20. His students include many champions, such as Dick Button, Donald Jackson, Ronald Robertson, Ronald Ludington, Barbara Ann Scott,David Jenkins, Hayes Jenkins,Dorothy Hamill (during her novice years), John Misha Petkevich, and John Curry.

Ron Ludington has coached skaters in nine consecutive Olympics and 36 World Championships. He holds several skating titles himself: U.S. Pair Champion (1956-60); U.S. Silver Dance Champion (1958); World Bronze Medalist (1959); Olympic Bronze Medalist (1960) and World Invitational Dance Champion (1965).
In 1973 Ron Ludington coached 6 of the 13 member United states skating team.
A throw, in pairs figure skating was invented Ron Ludington. The first type of throw was the throw Axel, named after its Norwegian inventor Axel Paulsen.
Ludington was named to the World Figure Skating Hall of Fame in 1999 and the Delaware Sports Museum and Hall of Fame in 2000. |

Laws was inducted into the United States Figure Skating Hall of Fame in 2001. In 2005 he received a "Lifetime Achievement Award" from the Michael Weiss Foundation. |

Brian Orser OC (born December 18, 1961 in Belleville, Ontario, Canada) is a Canadian retired professional figure skater. He is the 1984 & 1988 Olympic silvermedalist, 1987 World champion and the eight-time Canadian national champion.
He is one of the most accomplished skaters in Canada's history, with eight national titles, two Olympic medals, and a world title to his credit. He is the skating director at the Toronto Cricket, Skating and Curling Club. He currently coaches Kim Yu-Na and Adam Rippon. |

Tom Dickson is an American figure skater who currently works as a coach and choreographer. During his eligible career, he won the U.S. Figure Skating Championships at junior level in 1980; at the senior level, he placed 5th at the 1984 Championships. He also won Nebelhorn Trophy in 1980.
After his competitive career, Dickson skated with Ice Capades. He started doing skating choreography when his former coach, Carlo Fassi, asked him to work with Chen Lu in 1991.
