The Toe Loop jump is considered an toe jump because there is a kick off the toe pick. A toe loop jump takes off and lands on the same back outside edge of the ice skate.

The most common entrance is the straight-line approach into a right forward inside 3 turn. The skater then vaults into the air from the right back outside edge with an assist from the left toe pick,
Clockwise Jumpers:
The most common entrance is the straight-line approach into a left forward inside 3 turn. The skater then vaults into the air from the left back outside edge with an assist from the right toe pick,
